About Qi

Qi was an European Teeworlds team that tries to play at the highest level (whether we fail or not :p), mostly in the Capture The Flag gametype. Qi has a long history and has played hundrers of clan wars: the best place to read about it is the Qi forums.

The team was founded early March 2009 by Ubuntu and Magnet.

What does Qi mean?

Qi is the flow-of-life in the Chinese and oriental martial arts. Find more about Qi on Wikipedia :).

Qi is pronounced "Kee".

IRC Channel

Our IRC channel is #Qi @ Quakenet. Don't hesitate to find us for any question. We expect all members to lurk in the channel when they're online :)

You will find more information on how to connect to Quakenet on their website. Be sure to get an IRC client (e.g, XChat: in the package manager for GNU/Linux users, and XChat for Windows).

Clan rules

The following rules are meant to help the clan mature and allow a good experience for all members.

Don't be a jerk (more than we already are).
No multi-claning. By joining Qi you agree that you're not going to join another clan or you will leave Qi first. Of course members can exceptionally help another clan if they need a player for a clanwar, but you agree not to join any other clan (fake or not).
Because democracy in a clan doesn't work (or didn't work when we tried), the clan founders will act as leaders and take decisions unilaterally if needs be. Obviously that doesn't mean they won't ask what the members think ;).
No more than 11 members.
Members must speak English, at least be fluent in 'written' English, and understand/be understandable in spoken English. Members must get a microphone for voicechat during clan wars.
Members inactive for too long will lose membership. It might be possible to reintegrate the clan after depending on the situation. We still love you guys, but this clan is about activity.
We would like all members to have a high level of playing. This is the founding principle of this clan. In our experience, the wider the span of levels within a clan is, the more likely it is to create tensions (as an aftermath of a clan war for instance).
To achieve this we try to recruit only members with extensive experience or great potential. However if a member finds himself unable to keep a high level (due to lack of activity) or unable to improve (if the member was recruited on the basis of his potential), he will be asked to practice. If he cannot show real improvements, he will lose membership.
